The Lanny Jaya Cultural Fest is an event that perform the rich cultural heritage of the Lanny Jaya region in Papua. The Lanny Jaya Cultural Festival 2023

You must to come to this amazing annual event because the event offer a unique opportunity to learn about and appreciate different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. It's a chance to experience these authentic traditions firsthand. By attending the event, you can support locals economy and sustain the culture. The event will be held in 5-6 August 2024, we will help you to prepare everything that you need to trip and enjoy the event.

Here is the itenarary and few things that you will need when you are in Lanny jaya.

Day 1 : 4 August 

You willl arrive in Lanny Jaya and we will pick you up and take you to the accomodation that we have prepared for you. If it possible we will take you to see the beauty of nature around Lanny Jaya. 

Day 2 : 5 August 

You can see the rundown in here. On the first day, we will take you to the event early so you will not get late. You will see the opening ceremony and see how locals make their traditional salt. After that, you will learn how locals make the fire in a contest in locals language it is called Yige Wakwi. After that you will enjoy the traditional dances in traditional music such as Wisisi, Inikome and Wirenare. You will love this attraction because you will see how amazing the dances when the locals dance. Not only the dances but also you will enjoy the traditional games as well. In the end of the day, you will see and learn about traditional games that will be played by the locals.

Day 3 : 6 August

On the last day of the event, we will take you early to the event. You will enjoy some atrraction traditional archery sport contest called Nonggon Wakwi. After that, they will perform their traditional dances for you before they close the event. You have to prepare yourself for tomorrow before you return.

Day 4 : 7 August

We will help you to make sure you return well. 

What do you need while you are in Lanny Jaya ?

• Please bring your warm clothes in case you will need it if it is cold
• Mosquito Repellent 
• Permission letter ( we will help you)
• Your own Tumbler. Stay Hydrated!
• Money in Rupiah. Do not forget to change your money in Rupiah before you go to Lanny jaya because in Lanny Jaya there is no money changer.
• We will tell you soon if there is any other things that you have to prepare before your comings.
